Cross-project overview of assigned tasks for users without project access

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a way to create a dashboard that shows all issues assigned to a specific user across multiple projects.

Our use case is that some team members (e.g. QA, DevOps, Architecture) work across many projects at the same time. Project managers can usually only see the workload within their own project, which makes it difficult to get an overview of the actual workload of shared resources.

What I would like to achieve:

  • Show all issues assigned to a user across all projects

  • Aggregate them in a single dashboard/view

  • Make this dashboard visible to selected stakeholders (e.g. project managers)

  • Ideally without having to grant those stakeholders access to every individual project

Is something like this currently possible in Plane?

If not, are there any recommended workarounds or reporting approaches?

Yes, there are actually a couple of ways you can do this right now.

First, you can create a Workspace View, filter it by assignee across projects, and export the data as CSV, Excel, or JSON. Second, you can add a Table Widget to your dashboard with the same filters and export it as a PDF to share as a report.
