Issues with Self-hosted

Hi,

So we have Plane self-hosted and for some reason from one day to another it started failing.

We can’t start it we tried restarting it, updating it and we still can’t get it to work it says the migrator service failed.

Here is all the info I was able to get of the error, is in the link since I can’t attach it and its too much characters.

Please give me some help as my company is depending on it.

Thanks in advance,
Bruno Silva

Which edition of Plane are you using—Community or Commercial?

Hi,
We running Commercial.

Based on the logs you shared, it looks like the Plane application is unable to connect to the database.

Are you using an external database, or the database that comes with the Plane Docker Compose setup?

So we use an external database, we tried connecting to with with pgAdmin and HeidiSQL and worked.

When I first saw the logs that’s what I noticed.

Could you please share the DATABASE_URL value from plane.env file change the user and password with some dummy values

Also is this a fresh installation?

Not fresh its been up for some time stopped working out of nowhere.
I just noticed that urls for the database were different so either they changed or i might have delted the right databases restarting it now and will tell you the results.

Worked, is running but I can’t login it gets me authentication failed and I get no mails which I guess is cause I was using Resend which was out of usage.

Any way I can reset the password without logging? I also can’t login with GitHub cause my account is flagged for some reason I just mailed them.

yes you can reset the instance admin password by following this doc - Reset password | Plane
