Please add a native time tracker!

Hi, just setting up on Plane past day/2. I’m migrating from ClickUp, and it’s a change for sure but I think it’s for the better. I’m on trial right now but plan to purchase the business plan I believe it’s called, for my team.

The biggest things I miss from ClickUp is a native timer that can be clicked to begin logging hours. I assume it can’t be too difficult to implement, and it makes time logs more accurate and less inconvenient. Now, I would have to look for an external solution or build one that logs to Plane via API, that’s really inconvenient.

Glad to hear you’re giving Plane a try. Start/stop timer is already on our roadmap. It should be available sometime around the end of Q2.

here’s how it will work.

Oh great! Do you guys have a beta list I can join to get access earlier?

Thanks, I don’t see the start/stop timer in the design frames, but I assume you’re showing me the more broad revamped time features? Looks great otherwise, excited to see this.

Is there a public roadmap I can see?

I am needing this as well!

Any status update on this? @dancia @parthacus

Still waiting on an update for this, it’s an essential part of PM for my team. I can’t make the switch until I have a clear vision of it. Would really appreciate some insight here.

Dancia mentioned here it will come at the end of Q2, but let me bring that up here, too. we will let you know when it’s out, of course, and it will also be on our changelog.

i do want to clarify that this will come to Business and above when it does. hang in there, folks.
